Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp slivered almonds

Directions

  1. Place green beans in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Add salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and cook until the beans soften, about 4 minutes.
  2. Drain water from the pan and rinse the beans in cold water. Set the beans aside.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and almonds and toast until golden.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet and toss to coat.
