Werner Road Team Captains

2024 Werner Road Team

The 2024 Werner Road Team (WRT) consists of 13 extremely talented professional drivers with great diversity in divisions, backgrounds and experience. There are multiple objectives of the Werner Road Team; however, they can mostly be summed up with the simple phrase, “Drivers helping Drivers.” The WRT participates in a week-long orientation with executives to gain insight to all departments impacting Werner’s professional drivers. Bi-weekly conference calls are held with all Road Team Captains, Werner Management and WRT committee members.

These calls promote direct communication of ideas and issues from the captains to department leaders, promoting positive change. It also allows Werner Management the opportunity to communicate important messages for the Road Team Captains to pass along to their fellow drivers. Between conference calls, Road Team Captains engage in constructive interactions with drivers they meet, offering assistance and collecting input on how we can make the company better, especially for our driver associates.

Captains also participate in various events throughout the year, including:

  • Werner Welcome Experience
  • Driver Appreciation Events
