Werner Assists Tornado Disaster Relief in Moore, OK
Werner Enterprises has joined the disaster relief efforts in Moore, Okla., through a number of different avenues. The Company is actively working with the Red Cross and Salvation Army. In addition, Werner has partnered with a key customer, Bass Pro Shops, to deliver a truckload of relief items to Moore in response to the tornado disaster that struck the community on Monday afternoon.

Werner President and COO testifies before Congress
Werner Enterprises' President and COO Derek Leathers recently appeared before Congress at a hearing of the Panel on 21st Century Freight Transportation. Leathers advised the Special Panel of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee that Congress must address the trucking industry's needs in order to improve efficiency and productivity, as trucks move 68 percent of the nation's freight tonnage and are also crucial to the freight moved by rail, air, and water.
